Hello! I am thrilled you’re here! I never thought the day would actually come when I launched a blog, but here it is. At the end of 2018/ beginning of 2019, I was feeling nudges to reevaluate my life goals. During the beginning of this time, I got a confirmation through a prophetic word to embrace the new season I was about to enter.  I didn’t know what that meant but I was about to find out.  Isn’t it amazing how God prepares us for a season before we even realize it’s coming? I know that this word was given to give me clarity to know what decisions to make when the time came.

I learned about Beth Kirby, of the Local Milk Blog, a creative business, in January of  2019. I loved her style and vision so when I heard she was launching her brand new program, Influence to Income, for creative entrepreneurs, I jumped on board! I am still in the middle of the program at this time. But I learned through her course what I am really good at and what I should be pursuing so I launched this blog as a way to share my passion for nutrition, health and cooking.

I own a locally based kombucha company where I share my love for fermentation and teach workshops. This blog is an extension yet separate entity from that. I will definitely be sharing some of my favorite recipes for fermented foods here as well. You can connect with me over there at Lapp It Up!  if you like kombucha or fermentation.

The name for the blog, Crumbs under my Table, came as I was saying random words out loud and seeing what sounded right to me. When the thought  “crumbs under the table” popped into my head, I loved it and as I thought more about it I realized it was perfect! I remembered the story of the Syro-Phoenician woman who came up to Jesus, asking him to cast out the demon from her daughter. His disciples were annoyed at her and asked Jesus to send her away. He replied ” I came only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel”. When she continued to plead, ‘Lord, Help me”, he answered her directly, ” It isn’t right to throw the bread for the children to the dogs”. She doesn’t seem phased by this and wisely states, “Yes, but even the dogs eat the crumbs from the master’s table”. She got her heart’s desire when Jesus healed her daughter instantly at that time.

When I checked to see if  “crumbs under the table” was available as a domain name, it was taken, but “crumbs under my table” wasn’t! So, here we are. Welcome to Crumbs under My Table. Pull up a chair and stay awhile. I pray that the recipes and wellness knowledge I share here are a blessing to you and that they nourish your body and soul!
